This week, I sat down with Allison Franke, the creative maven behind Make It Franke, and, as she puts it, wannabe farmer! It was fascinating and inspiring to hear Allison speak to the very different facets that make up her day to day life, and how she found gratitude and appreciation for the tough stuff, too.

This week's episode of That's So Maven! is brought to you by Edmonton Fashion Revolution Week.
Edmonton Fashion Revolution Week is an online and IRL campaign from April 24-30 to help consumers and brands address one big question: Who Made My Clothes?
Through local maker workshops, open houses at Edmonton brands, panel discussions, and other events, they're inviting Edmontonians to learn about the challenges and opportunities involved in building a more ethical fashion industry. They're focusing on progress, not perfection, and celebrating the small steps we can take as a big group.
The banner event, Change of Clothes, takes place on Saturday, April 29 from 12-4 at Ritchie Community Hall. Following a panel discussion about how brands and consumers are defining ethical fashion, ateam of dynamo volunteers will be helping YEGgers contribute to sustainable fashion movement by extending the lives of their wardrobes. For a suggested $10 donation, guests gain access to the panel as well as to a clothing swap, a mending repairathon, upcycling crafts, and donation stations for Bissell Centre. This is Change of Clothes' third year, and it's really exciting to see this event grow. In 2015 and 2016, they processed over 300 pounds of clothing - help clear 500 pounds on April 29 and give new life to used things!
